AnaLuz Kohl

B AnaLuz Kohl has long been drawn to (perhaps seduced by) metaphysics, which she and other spiritual seekers in the (very) early 1970s called “esoterica”; such pursuits led her to seek occasional guidance from psychics, astrologers, and ultimately, First Nations shamans and priestesses (sacerdotistas). She has followed three career paths—journalism, academia (teaching and research), and professional editing/writing—taking her hither and yon in the social sciences and social justice activism, including experiences living and working in Latin America. In October 2023 when visiting the Lake Chapala area in Jalisco, Mexico, she experienced her first aural reading, which included pictures of the aura and a brief channeling. AnaLuz was told, “You are a healer—get busy already!” The practitioner emphasized that the healing was not focused on the physical. Feeling both inspired and puzzled, she returned to Albuquerque determined to immerse herself in doing what she was told (for the first time in her life). About a week later, she attended a presentation and demonstration by an excellent psychic medium hosted by Resonant Essentials. After giving accurate information to perhaps 15 people, suddenly the medium swiveled and pointed at AnaLuz, saying, “And you’re a healer! You must proceed.” AnaLuz mumbled about having heard the same in Mexico, but admitted to being a bit confused about how to, um, “proceed” and quickly even. The medium turned her pointing finger to Michelle Vidal: “There’s your mentor.” After meeting with Michelle for a consultation and then taking her Intuitive Explosion course, AnaLuz recognized that she shared Michelle’s dream for the present and future of REESM, and then some.
